All kinds of battleground needs a healer, but being new as a healer may cause harassment against you because you don't have the skills.

Follow this guide and you'll become a pro healer faster than they expect!

Stat Priority

Intellect > PvP Power > PvP Resilience > Spirit > Mastery > Haste > Crit

Stat Summaries

Intellect Increases damage and healing dealt by all spells and slightly improves critical strike chance.

PvP Power Increases all healing done to players and their pets or minions.

PvP Resilience Provides damage reduction against all damage done by players and their pets or minions. You start with a base PvP Resilience of 40%. PvP Resilience is more effective than raw Stamina for mitigating damage received in PvP environments. The choice of how much PvP Resilience to stack entirely depends on how much damage you want to mitigate versus how much healing you would like to do to your targets. If you find yourself dying too frequently, try adding more PvP Resilience.

Spirit Increases the rate of your Mana regeneration. Spirit is the best stat for Mana efficiency. Only stack enough Spirit to have just enough Mana for your typical PvP encounter.

Mastery: Echo of Light adds a HoT effect to your direct heals.

Haste Reduces cast time, lowers the GCD, and gives extra ticks on HoTs.

Crit Increases the chance for your heals to critically hit for additional healing.

Build Details

This is the base PvP spec for Holy Priests. Psyfiend, Phantasm, and Mindbender provide strong utility, but may be swapped for other talents in the same tier. Angelic Bulwark boosts your survivability. Power Infusion and Halo boost your healing/damage.

Major Glyphs

Major Glyphs are all highly situational. Your Glyph choices will largely depend on your team and class composition.

Glyph of Mass Dispel Recommended. Major boost to utility in group PvP.
Glyph of Renew Recommended. Moderate boost to Renew healing.
Glyph of Dispel Magic Optional. Small boost to damage.
Glyph of Fade Optional. Small boost to survivability.
Glyph of Holy Fire Optional. Boost to mobility.
Glyph of Inner Sanctum Optional. Small boost to survivability and mobility.
Glyph of Leap of Faith Optional. Small boost to utility.
Glyph of Lightspring Optional. Small boost to passive healing.
Glyph of Power Word: Shield Optional. Boost to healing under most circumstances.
Glyph of Prayer of Mending Optional. Moderate boost to group healing.
Glyph of Purify Optional. Small boost to healing when facing a lot of magic effects.
Glyph of Reflective Shield Optional. Small boost to damage output.
Glyph of Shadow Word: Death Optional. Useful for breaking CC by damaging yourself.
